Greetings to my special event colleagues!

As the calendar changed to 2010, the San Diego Chapter of ISES began a very exciting new year of celebration - Happy 20th Anniversary ISES San Diego! It's amazing to think about how far we have come in the past 20 years. We are of course throwing a huge celebration in honor of our 20th Anniversary – Save the date of June 17, 2010. As more information becomes available, we will post it on our website.

What hasn't changed since the inception of ISES San Diego is our commitment to being the leader in education for the special events community. We are proud that month after month we continue to deliver quality programming, which helps the entire community grow as a profession and bona fide industry. If you have been shy about attending a monthly program or you don't think it will be worth your time, please reconsider. Not only will you walk away from each program knowing a little more specific to the industry, but you will also be in a room full of dynamic and committed professionals looking to grow their businesses by making connections. Month after month I see real business being conducted at the monthly programs. I hope we will see you at a program soon! Check our calendar section for our current schedule of events.

With the New Year, we are also pleased to be launching our new website. It has been truly a labor of love as the Board worked diligently to make sure that the information is relevant to our members, potential members and the larger community. We hope you like our new look and you find the site to be easier to navigate and more comprehensive with content.

I have been honored to serve as a two-term President for the Chapter. As I move into my last 6 months of my Presidency, I am more committed than ever to working with the Board to continue growing our membership, delivering first-class education and building a strong community of special event professionals in this market.
