SAN DIEGO ISES MEMBERS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE HOSPITALITY TRAINING IN BELIZE
Debbie Thomas CSEP, CDP, past president of the San Diego Chapter, internationally recognized food and beverage hospitality trainer, consultant, chef, and restaurateur, has just completed a week long certification training for hospitality trainers in the Caribbean country of Belize.
School for the Service Arts Inc would like to introduce the newest member of the Service Arts team, and president-elect of the San Diego ISES chapter, Joan Burns CSEP, Rooms Division trainer for Front Desk and Housekeeping. Thomas and Burns successfully completed the first “train the trainer” series to raise the level of the hospitality professional in Belize, the only English speaking country in Latin America.
School for the Service Arts rejuvenated the certified hospitality department training program (CHDT); working with the Belize Tourism Board to elevate the level of service and certify trainers. Working with the American Hotel and Lodging Association’s high standards of excellence, Thomas and Burns offered a career path for dedicated, passionate individuals. The hospitality professional from line staff to executive is so important to Belize’s number one export, their Tourism business. Please go to www.travelbelize.org to find out more about this friendly country, only two and a half hours away from out shores.
Testimonials speak for themselves:
“Thomas and Burns provided an exceptional delivery of a much needed topic in Belize” Miss Maria, Instructress, Institute for Technical and Vocational Education
“Their training will assist me to help improve the quality of service and to exceed customer expectations in the industry”
“This training is very vital for the continued growth and development of our Tourism Industry. With this high level of professional training, the Belize Tourism Industry surely gets a boost!” Mr. Marcello, Whistling Seas
