Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP)

The CSEP designation is the hallmark of professional achievement in the special events industry. It is earned through education, performance, experience, and service to the industry, and reflects a commitment to professional conduct and ethics. Moreover, the CSEP can make you more attractive to potential clients and employers.

The exam is held at sites throughout North America and selected sites in Canada, Europe and Asia.

Once your registration and your exam fee has been approved, you will receive a confirmation letter that includes a UserID and Password.  This will allow you to schedule your examination online at www.smttesting.com, Schroeder Measurement Technologies’ online examination scheduling system.

CSEP Fees & Refund Policies

Fees must be paid by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) money order, cashier’s check or personal check made payable to ISES. If paying by credit card, complete all information on the payment forms, including signature.

Refund Policy

All requests for refunds must be made in writing. ISES reserves the right to deny refunds. The CSEP Application fee is non-refundable. The exam registration fee is partially refundable, see cancellation policy below:
Cancellation Policy: Candidates may cancel their exam registration with the applicable cancellation fee if written (via mail, fax or email) notification is received by ISES at least thirty (30) calendar days prior to the day of the exam. The cancellation fee is subtracted from the initial payment, with the remainder of the exam fee refunded via the original method of payment. ISES cannot postpone registrations for the exam and/or transfer fees to future exams. Cancellations made less than thirty (30) calendar days prior to the exam and no-shows on the day of the exam will forfeit their entire exam fee.
